So last night was an interesting experience. Paul the Auctioneer round two, an adventure in the world of shameless marketing. I learned a few things in the during it all and maybe in round three I'll really hock some wares.
The show is getting good reviews on the street. Thank you again for your support. I really appreciate it and often can not really express my gratitude on the spot. So thanks for checking it out and if you haven't yet, some people might say your missing out.
Finally if Casual happens to land hear and see this I would like to say thank you for being a real person. I respect your devotion to your craft and I hope your wholetour is as fun as the NightLight. Thanks for your effort.

My first tiny step into the huge world of professional art took place in a tiny coffee shop in Bellingham yesterday morning. A friend of mine hooked me up with an opportunity to hang a few pieces in The Black Drop. She helped me put it all together and I am really thankful for her support. Now as an act of shameless self promotion... You ought to check it out. The work fits the space well and four of them are already sold. It will be hanging for the entire month of December so don't rush... but don't miss it.

Other things on my mind include lurking in said coffee shop and watching people judge my work while making Christmas presents and dreaming of Tetris...

The Alpha & Omega

Everything has one. A begining and an end. Every time I write this one down people will ask what it means. I ask them if they ever went to sunday school and usually they'll say yes... or give me some remark on how they were never force fed dogmatic sedatives by their parents. Either way this came from the day we learned all the names for God and for some reason it stuck with me for a good 16 yrs or so. The Mother, the Father, god, God, Allah, Yawai (sp?) The creator, our creator, the dude, and The Alpha and the Omega.
Personally though, I enjoy the symbols as an expression of things finite.

Life, love, knowledge, sandwiches, card games and every day of the weak.

PS. My sister said my page isn't interesting cause there isn't any writing on it( shes a gurnalist). I told her I draw my feelings and she laughed. Heres a little writing for you... Smelly.

I spent my Veterans holiday wallowing in Freedom, reading The Economist, baking chocolate chip cookies and hanging out with Brendar. Later in the evening I got a productive urge and covered 13 pages of drawing then I got sleepy. Oddly enough, I dreamt of drawing...

So I've recently picked up a little guff for not keeping this current. I didnt know I was so entertaining. I haven't scanned anything in a while but I did document a few things so heres some fuel for the fire.

This was a Birthday present for my friend Anna. The turtle eats the bugs that the flower attracts and every one is happy. I knocked it out at an art party with my buddy Yayo. everyone was happy.

So I just polished off sketch book number five... actually I hired a friend to do it for me, but either way it's full now so here is page nummerone from sketchbook number six. If my first one took 18 mnths, and my second 12 and the 3rd 9 and 4th 6 and the 5th 3 months I ought to finish this by December... Theoretically. We'll see.

This is another shining example of time well spent in Mgmt 271. I dunno what I should call it or where its gonna go. I was thinking something along the lines of Violence is the Last Resort of the Ignorant... thats an Asimov quote which I find exceedingly applicable. Either way I'll let you kow where it lands once i land it there.

I painted this one for my buddy justins birthday. I think hes really sustainable. Theres alot of green in there because "efficiency is the new black." Jays are members of the corvid family who are some of the smartest birds in all of birddom. in conclusion justin is a smart green bird in the dark dark tree of fuel for internal combustion engines.
